Navy Federal Credit Union Case Study

The objective is to allow consumers to easily toggle back to their personal account from the business account.

Problem Statment

As posted on Linkedin I personally love Navy Federal Credit Union as a consumer, yet the app isn't as user-friendly as it should be for business account holders. I wasn't able to login into my own NFCU app as a business consumer and easily toggle back to my personal account.

Currently there's a toggle option for desktop only.

Mobile users will need to access the browser, login to then access their business account. NFCU customer service stated this is the only way. But as a UX designer I accepted the challenge to brainstorm of a solution.

Key Findings

Other iOS users also experience the same issue. Within the Apple Store Ratings and Review section theres account complaints from users (dated back 3 years ago) regarding this user issue for business owners/consumers.

Prototype

Designed in Figma to showcase a proposal switching between personal and business accounts easily.


Design is never done.

This is a testable prototype for NFCU. I'm a non-employee with no access to the backend to truly understand the infrastructure. I'll be more than happy to meet with the NFCU R&D team within the Digital Services Department to conceptualize and execute a better app for end-users.
